VDS RESIDENCES

Two identical residences in Horamavu, Bangalore designed as a unified composition—crafted as homes for brothers, mirroring each other in plan while expressing a cohesive architectural language. The design establishes a strong street presence, where proportion, form, and material continuity bind both houses into a singular identity.

The planning unfolds as a fluid sequence of spaces, shaped by double-height volumes that enrich the spatial experience. Controlled west-facing openings are balanced by generous northern apertures, allowing soft, consistent daylight to permeate the interiors. Cross ventilation and stack effect strategies are seamlessly integrated to enhance thermal comfort.

The arrival unfolds through a quiet entry, where a subtle water cascade enhances the sense of calm. A subtle material palette of wood, natural stone, travertine, and marble lends the architecture a grounded, tactile quality—evoking warmth while maintaining a refined, contemporary expression.
